The Vacancy
Are you passionate about promoting healthy relationships?
Are you ready to challenge the culture of sexual harassment in youth and education spaces?
Can you energize and lead group discussions with children, young people and parents?
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Youth and Schools Worker to join the Dignify Team.
Dignify seeks to challenge the culture of sexual harassment that has become normalised in youth and education spaces, along with the harmful impact that porn has on children’s physical, mental, emotional and relational health. Dignify work together with children, parents, carers and schools to build and share a new narrative for healthy relationships. We listen to the many voices and continue to advocate for children and young people with the Government, for changes to be made to prevent children being exposed to pornography online and for improvements to be made to Relationships and Sex Education.
The post holder will:
• Support Dignify’s aims to champion healthy relationships amongst children and young people, challenging the normalising of pornography and educating people around the harmful effects of sexual objectification.
• Deliver services in line with Dignify’s education strategy, including Dignify workshops, assemblies and lessons in schools and youth groups.
• Work as part of a team and contribute to lesson plans to deliver to Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, parents and teachers.
• Grow the reach of our schools’ work, developing partnerships with primary and secondary schools, and growing the number of people using our education services.
Requirements:
• Accredited in delivering RSE lessons or willing to work towards this in the first year of starting at Dignify
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing emails and public speaking
• Some evening and weekend work might be required to ensure we are reaching the many voices of children and parents who are keen to share their thoughts and feelings.
• Full driving license and access to a car needed.
If this role aligns with your experience and career goals, we warmly invite you to apply. We look forward to learning more about your background and the value you can bring to Dignify.

About Us
One YMCA and its subsidiaries, the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. We are over half way through an exciting new strategy launched in the first hour of the new decade, via email where all staff and volunteers were invited to put themselves forward to apply and attend an intensive, three-day Kickstarter Event.
By the end of these three days, there was a brilliantly multi-faceted set of themes and ideas, which formed the starting point for the rest of the Mission 25 process to build on. The aim of Mission 25 is to give every staff member and volunteer the opportunity to play their part in shaping the strategy to do “more and better, together” so that we double our impact by 2025. We deliver a vast array of services across Herts, Beds and Bucks that reach over 135,000 individuals annually.
